Ms. Nandita Padmanabhan

Clinical coordinator

Nandita Padmanabhan is a Behavioral Scientist with a Master's degree in Behavioral and Decision Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. In addition, she was a 2017 Young India Fellow at Ashoka University. 

At Green Oak, Nandita conducts psychological triage to ascertain the severity of mental health crisis, formulates a working diagnosis, and matches resources to the client as early as possible. Additionally, she runs the recovery program, in collaboration with Dr Sowmya Krishna, for individuals with acute mental illnesses. Her work explores how recovery can be integrated into routine primary care for chronic illnesses and how to build capacity for recovery-based interventions in low resource communities. Examples of some activities Nandita employs in the recovery program include gardening, journaling, mandala coloring, stitching, and Sudoku. 

In her free time, Nandita enjoys going on walks with her little pup and exploring new eateries in Bangalore.
